Welcome Friends!

Waiting is something we all do in life. From waiting for little things; waiting for your food in a restaurant and waiting in the line at the grocery store; to the big things; waiting for your loved ones to come out of surgery, waiting for your future spouse, or waiting for a baby. As a Christian waiting also means watching and waiting for the return of our Savior.

Praying and waiting on God’s timing is hard. We live in a world that is so used to getting things instantly, we have microwaves and fast food, we have the internet where movies and information are available within seconds. Our minds are geared for instantaneous results in so many ways.

Recently I have realized that I spent over half of my life wasting the waiting. We aren’t meant to stand still in the waiting. We’re meant to work in the waiting. God has a plan for all of us, a purpose to fulfill, and in the waiting is where we are working for Him and His glory. It’s where we hold onto our faith and continue to pursue Him fervently.

The waiting is where we learn so much about God and His faithfulness. Its where we are leaning on Him, knowing that His Will is always going to win in the end. It may not look how we want it to, but it is what’s best for us, because our loving God only wants what’s best for us.

The destination is always worth the wait. The struggles and the pain it takes to get there all serve a purpose. Never give up, keep pushing through.

So, this is going to be the story of my own personal testimony and journey to quit wasting the waiting and live intentionally in every season God sends me through. I have work to do.

These are my Lessons in the Waiting.
